I'm trying to figure out where this piece hails from. It looks like the Austrian dog head mark for 800. It also says 800, which is more common in Germany (or Germany-speaking countries). I'm not familiar with the last mark, which I assume is the maker's mark? Any insight you can provide would be appreciated.
HI, Austria-Hungary dog`s head mark for 800 silver (small items).They used dog`s head on sugar castors, although Diana`s head would be more appropriate for an object of this size. Wow, I did some quick research, and Pampaloni is a famous silversmith? Their stuff is quite expensive! Are they comparable to someone like Buccellati?
