Well folks
This collection of boxes is proving hard to get all the makers etc.
This Austrian one, 18?7, decade letter hard to determine, makers mark appears to be MK, does anyone recognise the maker?
Thanks yet again in advance
Colin
Unknown MK Austrian Mark
Re: Unknown MK Austrian Mark
Hi,
B stands for Prague Assay Office.
Prague silversmiths are not easy to identify.
This one has been identified, though:

Re: Unknown MK Austrian Mark
On the other hand, Anton (Antonin) Dörr. 1807-1871 was an apprentice with Mathyas or Mathias Kral. I think MK can be safely attributed to him; almost impossible to have two or more MK silversmiths at the time in Prague.
