Here the silversmith's mark is in a lozenge with the number 12 (loth)

Just guessing;12 loth standard used after 1906 ?
Or just a coincidence with III standard .750 and BR is town code and 12 maker`s registration number similar to Italian system.
Not well documented,though.

your consideration is very interesting. I did not think about it
At first I thought of a silversmith identification system as used in Rome in the 19th century.
A lozenge containing the master's initials and a number that identified the shop. But the number 12 would be a really odd coincidence.
But I don't know much about Romanian silver and therefore cannot express an opinion.
