Hungarian(?) Tea Strainer - Help Identifying Makers Mark

Postby Finktr0n » Tue Mar 31, 2020 8:12 am

Hello All,

Looking forward to perusing the boards! I'm helping my mother identify some silver in her possession. Most of it is American but this one piece had some odd marks on it, so I dug into the resources on this website and matched hallmarks to Hungary. I still cannot identify the maker, however. Pics below. Please let me know if any of you are familiar with this maker and/or where it may have been produced. Thanks for your help!

HI,
I think the town mark is Großherzogtum Krakau (Grand Duchy of Krakow) now in Poland, at the time in Galicia (part of Austria- Hungary Habsburg monarchy).
Regards

AG2012, thanks so much! I am going to consult my father, as I believe my grandfather on his side was from Galicia and we found this among his wife's (my grandmother's) possessions. Cheers!

Hello.
You can write what exactly is on the silversmith mark, I can't see exactly.
