Need help to ID mark on silver cigarette case

Postby burchard » Wed Nov 08, 2006 6:52 pm

Hi,
Please help me identify the maker of this enameled cigarette case. Sorry the mark picture is not great. It is a K and an S with a trident between. Thank you very much.

What's the other mark? She doesn't look American to me, more like a nice (& naughty) Austrian enamel.

Hello, if the letters are "K" and "S" and the symbol is a small fork (cannot see it too clearly on my screen), then the maker is Karl Schwizgaebele from Pforzheim, Germany. He produced pieces like that in the 1920ies and 1930ies, often after drawings by painters like Bayros or Ehrenberger. Best wishes, Bahner

Thank you very much. I really had no idea what country just that usually I can find more marks on foreign items. I knew I could depend on you guys to tell me if I was in the wrong section.
