I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the maker of these large silver candlesticks. The design is strikingly art deco, albeit with hammering effect more familiar to the arts and crafts period. They are assayed for Czech 1929-41. 800 silver standard. The question is who is the marker/retailer OSCH? No amount of googling has revealed anything. There is a further mark shown (conceivably another country's import mark) that looks like "18" but when rotated could be a very different image. All thoughts gratefully received.

Thank you. I couldn’t quite understand whether it was suggesting the mark on my candlestick is an export, not import, mark?

I believe it be used as an import mark and Import duties were paid in Israel. Made in Czechy.

There must be at least one more letter in front of OSCH, possibly the name of German maker in Czechoslovakia.
For example,Tosch is rather common German family name.
Also,possibly not officially exported to Israel but brought there and the owner had Israel mark added.

A bit of a wild guess, but after the country was formed Checko-slovakia was not an uncommon spelling....so maybe the stamp is maker OS in CHecko-Slovakia?

I have made some progress on identifying the OSCH mark. According to the Museum of Decorative Arts (Prague) “OS” was used by the important (around eight) Czech Applied Art vocational schools, equivalent to the UK’s “School of Arts”. These were held in such esteem the Studio featured them in a large article in 1905. They were famed for their avant garde design work, inspired by the UK and Secession.

The question is therefore what CH stands for. I believe most likely it is for the Chrudim Applied Art School which was most famous for its furniture but also taught other skills like metalwork.
