German? Ladle Town Mark

Hello,
Can anyone identify this town and maker's mark on an ebony handled ladle. Any help will be appreciated.

It is Sion in Switzerland.

Maker is Wilhelm Deer.

Thanks so much, I'm very glad to learn the maker's name and location. I've now done a web search on him and found his dates -
Wilhelm Deer (1783-1853) and that Sion (Sitten), is in the French speaking region of Switzerland.
