HI
A friend of mine has recently bought this nice silver mounted Hebrew bible. It was printed in one of the Famous Hebrew presses in Amsterdam circa 1680 & has these three hallmarks.
Who might be the maker? & where was It made?
THANKS

Hello niceguy1,
the eagle is the city mark from Frankfurt, the last mark "IIL" (upside down) ist the mark of Johann Jakob Löschhorn (1740-1787), goldsmith in Frankfurt (W. Scheffler, Hessen, p.312).
Concerning the other mark I have no idea.
Regards,
Ringo

@ niceguy,
Hi, we would like to see an enhanced image of the other "clover" like mark; FrankfurtMain 1690 SvH unsicher ( not sure). To see if it has any initials or signs.

Probably the mark have no initials but 3 stars. It is not easy to identify the maker.
