Hallmarked .935 SIL VER with bear makers mark

I have recently purchased a boxed set of four square pressed silver dishes each marked .935 SIL VER over two lines followed by what looks like a Bear. I was sure I had seen the mark recently and have searched my extensive library of decorative arts books and the internet but just can't pin it down.

I feel these pieces are either American, Mexican, Canadian or at a long shot Scandinavian, but the last suggestion is probably the least likely as I am fairly familar with most of the Scandi marks.

Any suggestions most welcome and I suspect my guess will be total wrong! Thanks martra

Hello, definitely not Berndorf, the marks are unlike any marks used in Austria. Plus the Berndorf bear, either standing or walking, is always looking left. Best wishes, Bahner
