Silver fruit bowl, possibly German, unidentified mark

Hi all!

I am new to this forum and I am hoping to get some help from you. I have a silver platter or fruit bowl, around 1900, and I couldn't find anyone to identify the hallmark. I think it's German but I am not positive on that.
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the Forum.

I think the likelihood is that your bowl is Italian, pre 1934, but I have been unable to find a match for that column mark so far.

I agree with Trevis, I have already seen this mark, but I do not know who is that silversmith.
The mark reminds the column at Cape Colonna (Taranto)

Good Day all,

If you look down below the 800 mark under the column, about seven o'clock, there is a very small what appears to be a 1934-44 Italian Provence and assigned makers numbers in the correct shaped cartouche.

Missed something else, above the top of the column at 11 o'clock there appears to the the numbers 847 then a smaller number 5 in the palm of an out stretched hand.

Thank you for your oppinions. I cannot see any details on the bowl, other than what can be seen in the picture. But yet again, I am not an expert in this matter. However, I feel like I am closer to identifying the hallmark, thanks to your help.

Travis,

Looking at your first image there appears to be two other marks about one inch directly below your column and 800 marks. In your second image it appears to be at the bottom of your flash reflection point. Can you try shooting in daylight without the flash while using your macro setting on your camera.

To get an idea of what your looking for review the Italian marks Trev posted above. Believe it's the 1934-1944 national mark as you can see from the other bowl above.
