French spoon

Need help to determine age and maker of this French? spoon.

The spoon does not look French to me, but I would have to see a focused picture of the marks to be sure. Please try to get your camera to focus, sometimes if you put the edge of a piece of paper right next to the marks it will focus.

It’s most probably Kronstadt (now Brasov in Romania, Brasso in Humgarian). Many German silversmiths worked there. Could not use right mouse to save your picture and place it side by side with this one, but certainly it looks like this. Loth 13 is missing, though. Hoping Krisztián will see this post.

It would probably help if you would crop the photos, then the marks would be bigger on the screen.
Without looking in books, it is not French, the style, bowl, and marks are not French.
I'll leave it to others to identify it.

Well, I didn't think either, that spoon is from Brassó. I saved the embedded picture, and tried to see in large. I don't really see, what's the mark shows. But if it would Brassó (Kronstadt), we could see a tree with the roots, and above a crown.
Moreover i didn't think, that's from the Hungarian Kingdom.
As I see, this spoon maybe from the 19. century, and this time all of the marks, that i know, shows the fineness of the item. (in lot) The excepts are, when the fineness under the rule. But in this cases mostly the maker punched his marks twice.
So my guess is, we have to look for the solution elsewhere.

Hi,

Belgian made and maker’s mark S under lozenge for; brothers Schapmans, located in the city of Mechelen and in business 1869-unknown, A under lozenge, applied by Schapmans, to indicate silver standard 800/1000 fineness (alloy A). The brothers Schapmans were well known cutlery makers.
