Two Vienna sugar boxes (Zuckerdosen).
This should not be difficult; there is a book with registered Vienna silversmiths and their marks, lent and was never returned (do not give your books away ``to be returned within a week``).Diana’s head in both and ``A`` for Vienna. ``JZ`` should be older, ``FM`` when regulations on mark shape were introduced.
Thanks for looking.

Hi AG2012,

Please remember in future postings, that only one item per topic is allowed, otherwise it leads to confusion. See: Posting Requirements

I would have edited this topic down to one item, but am unsure as to which mark goes with which piece (the confusion has already started).

Terribly sorry; will remember that. Item 1 = mark 1, item 2 = mark 2.

The box with the stamp "FM" will most likely be by Franz Martinetz (active from 1902 onwards), and the older one, with the stamp "JF" *might* be by Josef Zischek (active 1874 to 1894).

The mark is a JZ, not JF, isn't it? That will be for Josef Zauza, active 1862 to 1903.

Yes,it is ``JZ`` for sure (the older one with the horse). So,it is not Josef Zischek but Josef Zauza

Hi,

Ah...We have a difference of opinion.

I'm informed that is indeed the mark of Josef Zischeck of Vienna.
