Help identifying a silver jug

Hi everyone - would appreciate any help in identifying this large silver milk jug. The marks are unfortunately very rubbed. I presume the long rectangular one is the maker's mark. All that's left of the other two are one which could read EO, IO, TO or OT, OI etc, and turned on its side it could be a 2 or a 3. The other, presumably the town mark only has the bottom (or top) corner left, with what looks like a star a diagonal line and maybe a n.

I know an exact identification is probably near impossible, but would appreciate any thoughts on the style of the piece which may be able to trace it back to a country of origin and rough period.

Hi Frank,

The form is West European early (?) 19e century. The handle looks Dutch. The feet Belgium. One mark looks like 10 in a contour hat could be the Dutch (Kingdom of Holland) mark 1806-1810 for silver 833/000. The Dutch townmarks in those days were oval. Some of them have stars, but none a star with a crossed line. Maybe Belgium?

Hi Zilverik. Many thanks for your thoughts, and apologies for not replying sooner. And I know how difficult it is assessing the piece from a few photographs. Didn't know of the Dutch 10 mark, so learnt something here and am happy with an identification of possibly Dutch or Belgian C1810. Must admit the jug is a little earlier than I had thought.
