Do you maybe know or it is of really silver (800/1000)? Can you see how old is the salad servers.

Hello

I am sorry to say, your salad servers are NOT silver, they are silverplated. This pattern with the embossed "800" is often found on internet platforms and flea markets in Europe. Although the 800 points towards silver it is only silverplated. I do not know if they come from the far east or from southern Europe, but it is anyway close to a fraud, at least misleading.
You find this silverware also with the marking ARG 800. A hint for the silverplated origin is the marking does not correspond to any national silver marking standard. Your pieces for example bear the mark "Italy". Italy has strict marking rules for real silver, which your pieces do not follow.
Ultimatively, I once checked one piece with a file, and below a thin silver coating there is the base material.

Kind regards

Jörg
