Can someone tell me about this mark? It's PV in an oval punch with a dot, either placed between the letters or after them. I've seen it on 20th century silver articles, which sometimes also have a Dutch importer and re-assay mark. Here on a compact case and on a cigarette packet holder.

I don´t think this is Dutch. There is no identical P dot V mark in the Meestertekens 1813 - 1963 or 1963-1980.
The A835 does suggest a Belgian link (Argent 835/1000)
