can you help identifying this strange piece

Hi there,

Surprinsingly this is an inkwell. It has the standing bear hallmark to show it is SWISS silver. Unfortunately I could not make of picture of this hallmark as it is on the rim of the botlle, near the plate. Underneath the base there is an hallmark and I really do not know what it stands for. Could anyone help ?

It sure looks like the word MILANO to my eyes.......

Hi Paullemay,

I agree with you it is hallmarked MILANO and letter K. What I am surprised is that it is hallmarked MILANO which is Italy and the main hallmark is the standing bear for swiss silver 925. And this is why I would like some explanations if someone can.
