Austrian? German? Open Salt #1

Postby dragonflywink » Mon Mar 24, 2008 3:18 pm

This is one of my Mom's swan salts, bears a "13." löthige mark and the maker is "P.B&C.", it also has the tiny French swan mark. Anyone recognize the marks? Thanks!

Undoubtedly Peter Bruckmann & Company of Heilbronn; this mark was used 1814-1850.

Thanks so much, blakstone! Nice to find more information on this lovely piece (fortunately retaining the fragile blown glass liner), will add it to the catalog I keep for Mom's collection.
