Can anyone identify these fusee pocketwatch marks?

I have been trying to identify both maker and year of this fusee pocket watch. I believe it may be English, but am not sure. The inside back is marked with what looks like an M, and a 2, with something that looks like a cross, and then a 1 lying on its side. There are also some intitals or writing scratched into the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
