1841 UK Census Eden Wintle aged 70 Years Widow at Vintners Alms House Mile End Town Lower Stepney Middlesex. Catherine Wintle aged 30 years and Jane Baddely aged 1 year were residing with Eden. (It seems to me that ages in the 1841 UK Census are not as close to what should be expected as they are in later census's.)

10 November 1850 Eden Wintle aged 83 years burial recorded at Saint Mary Magdalene Bermondsey.

28 August 1785 George Wintle Batchelor of the Parish of Saint Mary Lambeth and Eden Stringer Spinster of the same Parish marriage solemnized at Saint Mary Lambeth.

10 April 1828 George Wintle of the Parish of Saint John the Evangelist Lambeth aged 66 years burial recorded at Saint Mary Magdalane Bermondsey Southwark.

We now have the date of George Wintle's burial from Pat's research as 10th April 1828. As the registering of Eden Wintle's mark is given by Grimwade as 8th May 1828 it seems positive proof that Eden Wintle was George's widow, who he had married in 1785. It seems that she had fallen on hard times by the time of the 1841 census.
