7 November 1737 Thomas son of John Powell of the parish of Saint Boltolph Aldersgate stationer apprenticed to Joseph Raynes haberdasher of London.
4 February 1742 (OS) Thomas Powell turned over to Joseph Malpas (Grimwade p.283). Thomas's petition to the court to be discharged from his indenture to Joseph Raynes stated that he was not sufficiently instructed in the art of a jeweller.
The indenture referred to in this post may apply to the "other" Thomas Powell that Grimwade mentions.
