28 October 1734 James son of Robert Brooker of Chelsea College gentleman admitted into the Freedom of the City of London in the company of Goldsmiths by redemption paying forty-six shillings and eight pence. Another name that might fit this gentleman with a freedom date very close to the date of the first mark recorded on 21 October 1734.
