BLAND, Cornelius (Grimwade p.443, 738)

The Will of Cornelius Bland, late of St Luke’s, was proved for probate on 5th September 1794 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1249/136). The Will appears relevant as a mark was entered on 16th September 1794 from his previous business address in Bunhill Row by his wife Elizabeth and his son James Huett Bland.

4 December 1771 Walter Hatton son of Hatton Hodgkinson late of Berwick Street Soho in the County of Middlesex silk dyer deceased apprenticed to Cornelius Bland of Aldersgate Street London goldsmith.

30 December 1771 Cornelius Bland of the parish of Saint Ann Aldersgate batchelor and London silver chaser bound in marriage to Elizabeth Parnell of the parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch spinster at London diocese.

15 May 1773 Walter Hatton Hodgkinson was by consent of the parties turned over to Charles Wright (Grimwade p.711) of Ave Maria Lane London.

6 December 1775 Walter Hatton Hodgkinson having sued out of his indenture was turned over to Benjamin Laver (Grimwade p.576-7) http://925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ver#p95395 of Old Bond Street Westminster in the County of Middlesex goldsmith of London for the residue of his term.

28 October 1772 James Hewitt (Grimwade p.443) son of Cornelius and Elizabeth Bland 28 Fleet Street birth recorded at Saint Dunstan in the West City of London.
