He was christened the son of John and Hanah (sic) at St Botolph, Bishopsgate in 1669.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Bishopsgate from 1693-1728. The widow Gibson was assessed on the property in 1729.
Aged 59 years his burial was registered at St Botolph’s on 19th January 1729.
The Will of Edward Gibson, goldsmith late of Bishopsgate Street, London, was proved for probate on 27th January 1729 (National Archives reference PROB 11/627/243).
