GRANT, Dorothy (Grimwade p.527)

Few widows named Dorothy Grant living in Southwark would see the need to make a Will. Although Heal noted the goldsmith of this name in Southwark until 1712 a Will proved for probate on 23rd August 1709 is probably relevant (National Archives reference PROB 11/510/240).

Dorothy's son Benjamin Grant and brother John Andrews were among those receiving bequests in this will as well as the forgiveness of their debts to her at the time of her decease.
