ROLLOS, Philip II (Grimwade p.646)

Postby MCB » Wed May 08, 2013 6:13 am

As a bachelor he married the widow Dorothy Hide in 1703 at St Bride’s, Fleet Street.
Last mentioned by Grimwade as entering a mark at Goldsmiths' Hall in 1720 a Philip Rollos continued to be listed as a freeman of the Goldsmiths Company in both the 1722 and 1727 London Poll Books only the latter showing an address, that of York Buildings, Strand. As Heal suggested that Philip Rollos I (Grimwade p.645-6) was active in 1675 it is more probable these entries refer to his son Philip Rollos II.
