He married Mary Cross at St Bride’s, Fleet Street in 1764; both were from that parish.
Christening records for nine of their children at various churches in the St Andrew, Holborn area from 1766 identify their address only in 1774-77 when they lived in Ely Rents.
From 1766-97 he was assessed to Land Tax on unidentified property in St Bartholomew the Great precinct, presumably Ely Rents. A new tenant was assessed on the property in 1798 and no further trace of William Purrier has been found.
