PENNYFEATHER, Henry (Grimwade p.298, 618)

He married Catherine Woolley at St Anne and St Agnes in 1749; he was from St Luke’s parish, Old Street and she was from St Dionis Backchurch parish, London.
Two of their children were christened at St Leonard, Shoreditch in 1749 when their address was Pitfield Street and in 1752 when at The (Tentors?).
Another of their children was christened in 1759 at St Martin le Grande, Ludgate when no address was registered
A son Henry aged 5 years, late of Old Bailey, was buried at St Sepulchre, Holborn in 1760.
He was first assessed to Land Tax on property in Prujean’s Court, Old Bailey in 1759 and entered a mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall as a case maker from there in 1763.
He was first assessed to Land Tax on property at New Rents, St Martin’s, Ludgate in 1764. The 1774, 1780 and 1788 London Poll Books, the registration of another mark in 1783, a trade directory as a silversmith and jeweller in 1790, the 1795 Poll Book and Land Tax assessments until 1797 all record him at that address.
