MAYFIELD, Edward (Grimwade p.594)

He was probably Edward Mayfield, the son of John Mayfield a publican from Poplar, who signed indentures in 1784 to be the apprentice of Samuel Hardy of the Clockmakers Company. He was made free in 1798.
Robert Embley of St George in the East parish signed indentures to be his apprentice later in 1798.
He married Ann Dickens at Holy Trinity, Minories in 1794. Their five children were christened at that church between 1795 and 1805.
Page 215 of Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World records him from Little Minories and his death as 1812.
