Postby MCB » Mon Mar 25, 2013 5:37 am

He married Mary Ann Fox at St Andrew, Holborn in 1801; both were from that parish.
The christening records at St Giles, Cripplegate from 1802-12 for four of their children show no detail of address or their father’s occupation.
Their sons John Barling and Henry were christened at St Giles in 1817 and 1819 respectively, both records showing their father as a silversmith at Golden Lane.
His wife Mary Ann died in 1825.
As a widower he married the widow Elizabeth Jones at St Mary, Islington in 1835.
His death was recorded in the St Luke register in 1839. He was buried in Bunhill Fields.
In 1854 his son Henry applied for freedom by patrimony in the Goldsmiths Company.
