William Strowd (Stroud Grimwade p.673) was turned over to him in 1771, previously the apprentice of Gabriel Wirgman (Grimwade p.708)
In 1783 Thomas, the son of Thomas Howell (Grimwade p.716, 725), Goldsmith of Bath, signed indentures to be his apprentice at Bruton Street.
His son Thomas was listed in 1790 as still working for him. He had signed as his father’s apprentice in 1780.
He continued to be assessed to Land Tax on property in Bruton Street until 1809.
His Will, as a Goldsmith late of Hardingstone, Northamptonshire, was granted probate in 1810.
