Confirmation of his being in the Fletchers Company is provided by the application in 1764 by his son George for freedom by patrimony in that Company showing his father was made free in 1734. Also by the 1768 London Poll Book which shows them both as members of that Company.
He had entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall from the Golden Cup, Fleet Street in 1737, an address which Heal noted as being at the corner of Mitre Passage. George senior was last assessed to Land Tax on property in Mitre Court, Fleet Street in 1772. A new tenant’s name is listed in the 1773 book.
