HINE, James (Grimwade p.547)

James Taylor Hine, the son of George, a bricklayer from Egham, Surrey, signed indentures in 1740 to be the apprentice of John Baldwin of the Cutlers Company. He was made free in 1775.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Old Street Square until 1805. He had entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall as a smallworker from that address in 1774.
He was assessed to Land Tax on an unidentified property in St John’s parish, Hackney until 1811.
His burial aged 86 years, late of St John’s Hackney, was recorded at St Luke, Finsbury in the same year.
