HAYWOOD, Joseph I (Grimwade p.541)

Postby MCB » Mon Feb 25, 2013 6:23 am

He is last recorded by Grimwade as entering a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1699 from Old Change.
Christenings at St Augustine, Watling Street from 1693-1708 of four children of Joseph and Dorothy Haywood record their father as a silversmith in Old Change in 1699 and 1708.
He is listed as a Goldsmith in the 1710 London Poll Book.
Land Tax assessment books for 1707 and 1712 show him in St Austines (Augustines) parish.
The burial of a Joseph Haywood in 1712 recorded at St Mary Somerset, London may be relevant.
