DODDS, Joseph (Grimwade p.493, 747)

A Joseph Dodds was made free by redemption in the Clockmakers Company in 1801. His application was endorsed “goldsmith”.
Joseph, the son of William Dodds, signed indentures in 1807 to be the apprentice of the Clockmaker Joseph Dodds.
He was assessed to Land Tax at Aldersgate Street until 1815.
Page 86 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World lists Joseph Dodds of Aldersgate, the partner of John Troutback, as having died in 1817.

4 October 1783 Joseph Dodds of the Parish of Saint Ann and Agnes within Aldersgate London aged twenty-four years and upwards Batchelor and Goldsmith bound in marriage to Mary Bearda Holm of the Parish of Saint Bridget aged twenty-three years Spinster.
