As a bachelor he married spinster Priscilla Rigby at Lamb’s Chapel, Monkwell Street in 1721; they were both from St Martin le Grand parish.
Their son Isaac was christened at St Ann, Blackfriars in 1729, son John at St Botolph, Aldersgate in 1731, daughter Ann at St James, Clerkenwell in 1737 and son William at St Sepulchre, Holborn in 1740 at which time they lived in Chick Lane.
Sons John and Isaac both applied for freedom by patrimony in 1764-5.
