He was from St Leonard, Shoreditch parish when he married Rachel Butcher at St Luke, Finsbury in 1770.
He may have been the Thomas Crippin recorded as a button maker on the christening record of his daughter Mary Jane at St Luke's in 1778.
He may also have been the Thomas Crippin aged 56 years, late of St Pancras, who was buried at St Luke’s in 1796.
