He was christened at St Anne, Soho in 1792, the son of Benedict (Grimwade p.289) and Gertroud Couta.
He appears in the 1845 Post Office Directory as a brass filigree worker at 12 Blenheim Street, the same address as in 1814 when he entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall as a small worker.
His address remained as before in the 1858 and 1864 London Poll Books.
His death in 1868 aged 76 years was registered in Dartford.
