Post by MCB »

He was christened in Church Broughton, Derbyshire in 1736, the son of John and Ann.
He married Elizabeth Marshall at St Faith, London in 1764.
A family tree recorded on websites suggests he died in Welbeck Street, London in 1783.

The Athenaeum: A Magazine of Literary and Miscellaneous ..., Volume 4, July to December 1808 on page 265 mentions Sarah Chawner the youngest daughter of William Chawner Esquire of Welbeck Street in regard to her marriage to William Piddock Francis Esquire. Sarah Piddock Francis is identified as a daughter of Elizabeth Chawner in her mother's 1820 proved will in relation to a two thousand three hundred pound five pounds per centum...annuity as well as the bequest of a third of her wearing apparel and jewelry & etc.
