John Howlett, engraver of St Ann, Westminster, paid duties in 1783 for the apprentice indentures of Artaxerxes Brown.
He married Mary Ann Baxter at St Anne, Soho in 1793.
Christenings of three children of Artaxerxes and Mary Brown were recorded at St Anne, Soho 1794-99 and one at Wardour Street Methodist Chapel in 1801 all without further detail.
Mary Ann Brown, late of Bull’s Head Court, was buried at St Anne in 1805.
He married Hannah Bowie at St Anne in 1808.
A maker’s mark was entered at Goldsmiths Hall in 1810 as a smallworker from 11 Bentick Street, Soho.
The 1841 UK Census shows him aged 70 years living in Holborn.
His death was registered at Pancras in 1849.
