He married Elizabeth Sherwood at St James, Clerkenwell in 1821; both were from that parish.
Christening records at St James for four of their children 1823-6 show their father as a watch case maker and their address as Eliza Place from where he had entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1825.
He notified a change to 20 Northampton Square in 1826, the address shown on the St James christening records of three more of their children 1827-32.
The records show him variously as a watch maker, a case maker or a jeweller.
His burial aged 43 years, late of Northampton Square, was registered at St James in 1832.
