SHEPARD, Felix Samuel (Grimwade p.294-5)

Postby MCB » Tue Jun 26, 2012 5:18 am

He was christened Felix Samuel Shepherd in 1790 at St Anne, Soho, the son of Richard and Elizabeth.
As Felix Samuel Shephard he married Sarah Martin Sanders at St Mary, Islington in 1811; both were from that parish.
The 1841 UK Census for Hoxton Market shows him as a spectacle maker.
By 1851 he was an annuitant at Bethnal End Road, Bethnal Green.
His death in 1853 was recorded in the Shoreditch register.

Felix Samuel Shepherd served his apprenticeship under John Ustonson, see: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=8565&start=105

He is recorded as being located at 1, Great Sutton Street, Clerkenwell, in 1829, and at 40, Wellington Street, Goswell Street, in 1834.

His business was succeeded by Francis Shephard.
