EKINS, Innocent (Grimwade p.301)

Postby MCB » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:28 am

He was christened the son of Joseph and Sarah Ekins at St Leonard, Shoreditch in 1751.
His marriage to Catharine Harley was recorded at Christ Church, Spitalfieldsin 1781 . He was noted from St Leonard parish.
He had paid Land Tax Redemption in 1798 for seven properties in Kent and, although recorded resident in Hackney, was on the 1802 Poll List for that county; presumably he qualified to vote in Kent by reason of his property ownerhip there.
He had entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1798 as a watch case maker and in 1799 as a case maker both from 2 Cumberland Curtain Road, Shoreditch.
His burial aged 64 years was recorded at St Leonard in 1815; his last address was Margaret Street.
