He married Sophia Manning at St Leonard, Shoreditch in 1804; both were from that parish.
Christening records for their children at St John, Clerkenwell 1814-22 indicate he had been a jack maker from St John’s Road.
The christening record for a daughter at St Luke, Finsbury in 1828 shows their address as Banner Street and her father as a watch case maker confirming the two entries of 1827 in the Goldsmith Hall records when Edward registered his maker’s marks.
His burial aged 59 years was recorded at St Luke’s in 1839; his last address remained as before.
