Christening records at St Leonard, Shoreditch 1829-40 for three children of Robert Henry and Mary Wallis show their father as a silversmith at Queens Street from where he had entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1836 as a spoon maker.
The 1841 UK Census for Hoxton Market recorded him aged 45 years as a silversmith. Resident with him his sons Henry aged 20 years, William and Charles aged 15 years were also recorded in the silversmith business.
The 1851 UK Census recorded him at President Street aged 55 years, still a silversmith and employing 6 men. He had notified Goldsmiths Hall of a change to this address in 1841.
No relevant registry of death has been found.
