Luke Schrager, in a recent article in Silver Studies No 27 of 2011 on this lady , indicates that she was the widow of Thomas Jackson I ( and not Charles Jackson as Grimwade suggests) who, after two years of widowhood, married a William Oldfield on 14 September 1750 at St Paul's Covent Garden. She appears to have traded under her new name rather than that of her new husband, hence her EO mark of 19 December 1750 recorded in the largeworkers register under her prior marks as Elizabeth Jackson .
