The christening record for Alfred Galloway son of William (Grimwade p.517-8) and Ann at St Martin in the Fields in 1822 shows his birth was in 1818 and his father a silversmith from 1 New Exchange Court, Strand.
No other records have been traced for him. As the England & Wales Deaths Index did not commence until 1837 and his brother Thomas, with whom Alfred was in partnership, entered a maker’s mark alone in that year it is possible that was the year of his death.
