Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He was born in London around 1798.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1835 as a goldworker at 49 Greek Street, Soho.
1841 UK Census for Greek Street records him as a jeweller aged 43 years.
1851 UK Census for Hotham Villas, Putney records him as a goldsmith aged 53 years.
London Deaths & Burials Index for Putney register shows he died in 1861 aged 63 years. His last address was “Putney”.

William son of Francis Newbery London Goldsmith made free by Patrimony in the Company of Goldsmiths at Goldsmith's Hall. William was born in 1788 and his father was made free in 1777. 29 November 1838
William Newbery of Upper Seymour Street West in the County of Middlesex Esquire will proved at London. William's list of brothers in his will aligns with the sons listed in his father's will. The most noteable for comparison is Thomas Raikes Newbery. Reference: TNA PROB 11/1903/87

William H Newberry is listed in the 1861 UK Census at 1 Hotham Villas, Putney as a retired goldsmith
