Born around 1802 in Aldersgate.
1841 UK Census for Shorne & Merton, Kent as a jeweller aged 35 years.
1851 UK Census for 39 Skinner Street, Clerkenwell as a jeweller aged 49 years.
Died 1853.
London Deaths & Burials Index for St James, St Pancras register dated 10th July 1853 aged 51 years; last address Skinner Street.
For further history of the jewellery business which continued after 1853 see John Culme's Directory of Gold & Silversmiths Jewellers & Allied Trades 1838-1914 Vol. 1 p.15 where it is also recorded that Arnell was listed as a jeweller at 9 Queen's Square, Clerkenwell from 1838-43; the Kent address in 1841 may have been temporary.

The Will of Denis Arnell, late jeweller of Clerkenwell, was granted probate on 27th August 1853 (National Archives reference PROB11/2176/430).
