5 May 1789 Timothy son of Timothy Renou farrier of London was made free in the company of farriers. The younger Timothy was born in 1750. His father was made free in 1747 which may confirm Grimwade's suspicion that the subject gentleman was a grandson of the Timothy Renou who registered a mark in 1737.
