This is John Linnet's mark recorded by Arthur Grimwade as No.1834.

Image

I've posted this example, as the ink impression illustrated by Grimwade does not show up well. It was noted from an 18ct gold ring that bore the dateletter 'h' for 1823-4. As the mark was registered on the 31st January 1824, then it was struck sometime in the four month period between that date and the 29th May 1824.

Trev.
